Wicklow’s Evcoms acquires Hikari, announces 20 jobs worldwide

The company is growing its team across six countries with 20 new roles planned over the next two years.

Wicklow-based cloud contact centre and communications company Evcoms has acquired Hikari Ireland, an IT firm based in Kildare and Hikari Inc, situated in the US.

The combined company is planning to grow its team across six countries, with 20 new roles planned across engineering, analytics, customer success and other areas over the next two years.

This is the Wicklow company’s second acquisition to date and marks a step forward in its mission for international expansion. Details of the acquisition remain undisclosed.

Founded in 2017, Evcoms is a provider of cloud contact centre and unified communications solutions, including data analytics tools for customer data and automation services to boost productivity.

Hikari is a Microsoft Power Platform partner that specialises in Power BI, Power Automate and low-code transformation.

The acquisition combines Evcoms’ communication platforms with Hikari’s capabilities in process automation, data visualisation and custom application development, boosting capabilities to provide its clientele across Ireland, the UK, US and countries in Africa with a broader suite of digital solutions.

The deal also marks growth for Evcoms in artificial intelligence-driven automation and analytics, which the company said will strengthen its position as a provider of integrated digital solutions for enterprise clients.

“This acquisition is a significant milestone for Evcoms. The addition of Hikari’s proven power platform skills to our contact centre and UC [unified communications] portfolio allows us to deliver more value to customers seeking better visibility, automation and insight,” said Mark Evans, the CEO of Evcoms.

“This move not only enhances our service offerings but also expands our global footprint. We’re excited to welcome the Hikari team and look forward to scaling together.”

Evans was recently named as the 2025 Business All-Star Tech/Telecoms Entrepreneur Of The Year by the All-Ireland Business Foundation.

“This partnership is about scale, strength and new opportunities. Together, we’re creating real growth – not just for our customers, but for our people,” said Denise Bray, the chief commercial officer at Hikari.

“As part of this next chapter, we’re planning to expand our team to support continued demand – and we’re just getting started.”
