Trinnov Audio, with over 50 international patents and a long track record of industry awards, has been at the forefront of audio processing technology for more than two decades. Known for pioneering advancements like their proprietary loudspeaker/room optimization, four-element 3D mapping, and the groundbreaking WaveForming Technology, Trinnov has consistently raised the bar for what’s possible in sound processing.
Looking ahead to 2025, Trinnov has announced a major software update for its Altitude 16 and Altitude 32 processors. This update brings a revamped user interface and improved surround sound features, delivering a fresh and enhanced experience for current Altitude owners. This move is all about extending the life of these products while keeping them in tune with the latest audio innovations. With CEDIA 2025 rapidly approaching in early September, our team will be on the ground, providing daily coverage of the latest industry developments.
The software update is free and preserves all existing Trinnov Altitude features, including Trinnov Optimizer, WaveForming, and Remapping, while introducing new immersive audio capabilities.

New Features
- New User Interface: A redesigned UI (User Interface) streamlines daily operation, system configuration, and advanced calibration, all while retaining Trinnov’s signature power and flexibility.
- Fine-Tuned Immersive Audio Implementation: The update brings enhanced support for Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro, and Auro-3D decoding technologies, including the addition of Dolby Surround upmixing for wide channels, ensuring an even more immersive experience.
- Continued Platform Investment: Architectural improvements in this update lay the groundwork for future advancements, securing long-term sustainability for the Altitude platform.
From Arnaud Laborie, CEO, Trinnov Audio: “We have significantly updated the Trinnov Altitude experience, with new features, streamlined operation, and a user-friendly interface that will improve the experience for professionals and consumers alike – and true to our commitment to long-term value, we are offering these watershed improvements as a free software upgrade…With this update, the entire Altitude line has been re-engineered for more, and if you’re an Altitude owner, it’s already yours.”

Rollout & Availability
The 2025 Trinnov software update will begin shipping with all newly produced Altitude16 and Altitude32 units before the end of the year. Existing installations will receive the update later in 2025 and into 2026, following a controlled validation and staging process.
Pro Tip: Trinnov is making this announcement well in advance as a courtesy to integration partners and customers. This update is significant and will require reconfiguration and recalibration.
Pro Tip: The update can only be triggered by a licensed Trinnov dealer.
If you’re a Trinnov owner and want to upgrade, you’ll need to reach out to your authorized integrator. While upgrading is essential to access future updates, there’s no immediate rush. Trinnov will continue to support current software versions throughout the transition. Integrators should plan the update timeline carefully when scheduling calibration and firmware updates for installed systems.

The Bottom Line
For the past few years, Trinnov has been coming to CEDIA with spare-no-expense home theater technology demos in partnership with several other high-end companies, and 2024 was no exception. However, at that time, Trinnov announced that for the near future, they were not planning on duplicating or expanding their CEDIA presence with such setups. However, that doesn’t mean they have stopped innovating.
With that in mind, Trinnov will host training and demonstrations of the new Altitude UI for use with their Altitude product line throughout CEDIA Expo 2025 in Denver, September 3-6. Attendees and press will be visiting the Trinnov High Performance Audio room 208 in the Colorado Convention Center for a hands-on exploration of the new Altitude experience.
