In 2023, Siren received €12m from EIB to develop its ‘investigative intelligence’ platform.
Galway-based investigation platform Siren has partnered up with US cybersecurity firm Flashpoint to create a unified environment that aims to make intelligence-led decisions more efficient for teams.
Cybersecurity concerns are on the rise, with reports finding that a growing number of organisations are worrying about artificial intelligence-led and state sponsored cybersecurity attacks.
“This collaboration is especially timely as financial cyber threats and blockchain-related risks continue to escalate,” the new partners say.
According to them, the strategic partnership brings together Flashpoint’s human and artificial intelligence-augmented threat intelligence and Siren’s advanced investigative platform to provide organisations with the ability to detect, investigate and respond to complex risks faster and with greater confidence.
Here’s what on offer: Flashpoint’s primary-source data allows investigators to initiate new inquiries and solve cases by uncovering not-so-obvious connections.
While Siren’s open architecture allows this intelligence to be combined with a broad range of open source intelligence and internal data sources, including social media, law enforcement records, cyber threat feeds and blockchain analytics.
The integrated solution, the two say, offers a flexible and unified environment tailored to organisational needs, supporting various applications – including public safety, fraud prevention, anti money-laundering, and cryptocurrency crime.
Their solution hopes to provide a comprehensive and scalable solution to cybersecurity threats that equips teams with the ability to understand, anticipate and respond to emerging threats, “regardless of how complex or fast-moving the geopolitical environment may be”.
“By embedding Flashpoint’s uniquely curated, human-augmented intelligence into Siren’s workflows, we’re delivering an end-to-end solution that accelerates investigations and generates actionable insights with unmatched speed and precision,” said Rachel Kavanagh, the chief marketing officer at Siren.
While Andrew Borene, Flashpoint’s executive director for international markets and global security said, “In a world of increasingly sophisticated and converging threats, the ability to access and action comprehensive intelligence is paramount.
“This integration delivers on that need. Combining Flashpoint’s unmatched collections with Siren’s investigative power gives multinational organizations a more actionable view of their risk landscape.”
In 2023, Siren – founded in 2014 – received €12m from the European Investment Bank to develop its ‘investigative intelligence’ platform and expand its headcount by 50pc by 2025.
Earlier this year, the company partnered with Apollo, a sales and marketing contacts provider, to upgrade its search capabilities and performance.
